Flawless

I told you Leelee was a rising star, in a very under the radar way.
She is absolutely flawless.

Shoe Du Jour

So I had a little bit of a hiatus from my per usual blogger behaviour, but I assure you (well, really just myself) that my behaviour shall return! What better way than to make a much needed reappearance than with my favorite posting on Fridays.

So now that we are fully committed to fall season over here in the east coast (as you know my personal favorite time of the year I might remind you), I'm happiest when shopping for booties! Ive been looking for that perfect beetle boot for years, but I just came across these fierce little ladies by Rachel Roy. Obsessed with the silver toe detail that makes 'em just that bit more modern without jeopardizing their ability for an everyday look. Oh...and you can get them now at Bloomingdale's   during their friends and family!! Holla!

Annabelle

That Annabelle Dexter-Jones has one hell of a cutie-pie status in style. Love it. Nothing but tousled hair, lipstick, and all American classics. More of her adorableness here.

Shoe Du Jour

I was just introduced to Amber this morning by Barneys latest new arrivals from Alexander Wang email. I must admit, not quite what Id expect from Alex Wang (more feminine than the usual grungy chic), but this is possibly the BEST SHOE EVER. The color, the gold button snap, the simplicity and slight edge combined into one little pair of heeled shoes called Amber that would make anyone's stems look great.
Dear lord, help me. I need these.

Flower Child

Pamela Love's recent wedding in Montauk. Love her ethereal dress (designed by Mara Hoffman), and self designed wedding jewelry. Simple, flowery, and a dress Id want to just wear on a hot summer night. View the rest here.

The New Basic

As much as I hate admitting that I actually walked into an American Apparel (hello 13 year old "hipsters"), every now and again, you can find a real "basic" gem that's actually worth the overpriced American made blah blah blah price tag attached. Most recently being, this denim skirt. Ive been hunting for a jean skirt that's obviously not 80's, not tight, not too short, and most certainly, not going to make me look like a Mom "trying too hard" or a 12 year old. Despite the picture attached, I bought this skirt in aprox. 1-2 sizes above my normal size. The result is a -mid to short- length jean skirt that sits just slightly below my belly button (as opposed to the very "high" waist as described/styled), and just a hint of looseness that doesn't deem inappropriately ill fitted. In English? Its actually not awkwardly fitted at all AND so completely basic that I cant believe I didnt think of this sooner. Could this "new basic" perhaps replace my jean cut offs that I live in all summer?
p.s. I bought the lighter color denim as it had a cleaner "look" than the semi dark color pictured above
