The name Rachel Comey is to New York City as what Yves Saint Laurent is to Paris. Wow, that's a bold statement...ok maybe on a bit less of a grandeur level, but Rachel Comey has a cult following in New York and particularly for her shoes. As a New Yorker, its practically a right of passage to own at least one pair of Rachel Comey's. (I scored a black pair of clog booties from a couple seasons ago on super sale that I love!). Each season, I am more and more in awe of her shoes..similar shapes reinvented in so many new ways that I cant keep up with which pair are my favorite of the moment. Alas, I landed on this pair for my Shoe Du Jour. As temperatures continue to drop, I'm going crazy for soft woolies and warm looking textures. I love the simplicity and comfort element of this boot paired with the coziest looking wool in neutral colors. I would die to wear these paired with gray tights and a chunky sweater dress. Oh the endless outfit possibilities of style, comfort, and warmth. Oh and you can find these over at Gargyle, an uber curated little shop nestled on the outskirts of the LES.
