For the last 4 years, I have been wearing simple small diamond hoop earrings that are barely detectable. I have been completely turned off by any any sort of ear bling that is bigger than the tiniest inkling of a piercing (I cant believe I used to pierce my own ears multiple times in my teenangster years). But lately, I find myself gravitating towards the idea of wearing a few small stackable stud earrings or big outrageous dangly things with nothing but a good cat eye and hair pulled back (a la my style obsession Edie).
