Le Labo

My special man recently surprised me with a new scent from Le Labo called Santal 33. I must admit, living near Le Labo in Nolita - the custom perfumery that makes cult following fragrances - I had no idea how amazing this place was (not to mention the packaging)! When I saw this mornings Guest Editor Who What Wear post by Alexa - I had to share...the scent is definitely unique and I'm already hooked. It has copious amounts of mysterious elements that are equal parts masculine and feminine - just the way I like it.

P.S. Also loving those pajama pants.

The Field Jacket

I went to the flea market yesterday and came home with this vintage Ralph Lauren field jacket. Its quite possibly the most timeless item in my wardrobe, and the most perfect shade of pine green with some flannel plaid lining. I cant wait to get my English countryside on and I think I'd make Tomboy Style proud by this one.

Shoe Du Jour

Earlier this week, I submitted myself to the chaos of the last two days of Barney's Warehouse sale half expecting to return with nothing but a little blood, sweat, and tears from girls battling the shoe racks and the less than stellar reviews from earlier visits by my colleagues. The battle was quite worth it, the battle within -that is to allow myself only one pair of shoes (gotta save for Europe!). I'd been seriously drooling over these Alexander Wang Tilda Low Knotted Sandals (in the green or black) all summer, and having found them at his sample sale this summer still priced at $250'ish - I just couldn't take the price plunge. Thank you Barneys for that extra 50% off all warehouse sale items, because I found my dream summer sandals (hey, better late than never right?!) for about $100 in the dark green. Seriously, I could give up ankle boots till the snow falls because they are extraordinarily comfortable and magically go with everything.

Tonight is FNO in NYC (and other cities). So excited to meet Anna and Karolina at Macy's Herald Square tonight...the official launch event for the Macys and ADR project my team and I have been working on all summer! Check out ADR's blog post on the collaboration!

Corinne Day: The Face

Barely able to contain my giddiness for my trip to London, Paris, and Nice in a couple weeks....I came across this contemporary art gallery Gimpel Fils that is exhibiting works by Corinne Day (from September 1st to October 1st in London) featuring...obviously..the one and ONLY Kate. First stop in London, coffee with my girl and then Londontown rendezvous + searching for Kate!
