Today's Shoe Du Jour is all about the Manolo's. Why? Because I live in New York City and you don't live in New York City without a little Manolo nostalgia circa Carrie Bradshaw late 90's.
I had quite the Sex and the City'escapade last night with my favorite home girls Alexandra, and Molly. We, the trio, hit up the Barneys Wherehouse sale promptly at 6pm and went straight to the shoe section (because you gotta spend money where it counts as Molly says) that was complete with Givenchy, Rag and Bone, Opening Ceremony, Proenza Schouler, Chloe, and of course Manolo's that were an extra 60% off their lowest ticketed price. You put 3 girls among racks of designer shoes that are all priced around two good dinners and you're bound to have an anxiety attack. We did, but Id say we came out alive and completely famished, but most importantly well footed. Molly found her dream shoes...aka the Carrie Manolo's of a lifetime...which Id say is a perfect way to bid adieu to New York City before our 1 third trio moves back to San Francisco. Nothing a like little point, a little heel, and whole lotta black ankle strap to remind you of Big Apple moments.
