Shoe Du Jour

So, this is actually a Shoe Du Jour UPDATE. You see, I am pretty sure I scored the ULTIMATE deal when I hit up Barneys Warehouse sale as per usual during its twice yearly event....only to find my dream Isabel Marant "Cleane" boots that I actually posted on here. Its quite crazy that these spotted beaut's ended up mine. They were *literally* 75% off and Im pretty sure that I tried them on, paid, ran out out - all in about 35 minutes- clutching the bag with bear claws because I was afraid I was going to have a Sex and City - Carrie gets her Manolo's-mugged New York moment (even though no one in their right mind would know what was inside my brown bag -or EVEN care). Sigh. I also realized that I have a problem: ankle boot hoarder.

Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker

Well, here's to my first "beauty" post. As soon as I read this morning's Who What Wears Guest Editor Rachel Bilson's post- I knew I had to share. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a Dr. Pepper Bonne Belle Lipsmacker devotee- since high school - which, suffice to say - was a while ago. This is quite possibly - my ULTIMATE beauty must have. It is the perfect lip solution, i.e. chapstick - slash - lip gloss all in one little plastic canister. No stick, no grease, slightly rose hued, fits in your pocket, tastes nothing like Dr. Pepper, and costs a smacking (no pun intended) $1.99! Whenever I go to the pharmacy and see it in stock - I make sure to buy out the store. The best are the jumbo sized - which - I have only seen in random Northern Californian Walgreen's. I don't know if I can ever retire this little beauty product, there is nothing more nostalgic and perfect than my little Dr. Pepper's.

Farewell Fashion Week

Snapped inside the tents last week by the lovely lady at fivefoot9. Saw the BCBG Max Azria show (lots of color blocking, fur trim, and silky flowing sillouettes) And well....its over now. Wearing my Wang camel coat, a silk Madewell dress, and my trusty Rag and Bone booties.

PPD

Having a bit of PPD (post party depression) this Monday morning. Had such a funday Sunday yesterday with my gals Sar and Mols. Started the day off with brunch at The Smile and gawking at teenage model prodigy Lindsey Wixson who was eating with her equally baby faced seemingly BF. Strolled over to Love Adorned for some wishful jewelry thinking and spotting Margherita Missoni also browsing in a major grey fur. After a cardamom coffee pick me up, we headed to Rag and Bone (who is having a crazy sale with prices LOWER than their last sample sale). I couldnt resist the rusted brick boot for a price that I cannot even speak of because they were basically free;) Not to mention the pit stop included an Abby Lee (and Rag and Bone model) sighting - lithsome and all - trying on clothes which was just as randomly exciting to see Kate Winslet (hello Titantic!) also shopping in the store. I love a random Sunday sighting sesh with the girls.

Seriously blushing over these Robert Clergerie nubuck wedges in the creamiest shade of...blush! New shades Im totally into are the palest of pale for a still neutral winter/spring transition...and you cant go wrong with sturdy wedge shoe that you can balance with socks and tights until its actually legal to show your toes in spring!!

I have such a crush on Lake Bell, I fell in love with her kooky and fashionable character Rachel after belately getting hooked on the best-series-to-only-be cancelled - How to Make it in America. The woman is gorge and shes got my kinda style 'tude.
