As the spring/summer sales continue to threaten my bank account, I literally cant keep up with who is having the best 70% off sale on designer names that I typically lust over. Barneys is in their final stages of their sale at up to 75% off. I love the Robert Clergerie platform in both shades of tan and olive. So clunky and easily versatile that you could actually wear these well into fall with some ribbed tights or cute ankle socks. Still priced at a high $239 from the original $595, I could convince myself these are a good deal....

Madewell for Fall
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a total sucker for Madewell. Something about that rugged preppy charm that I just cant deny. Just got the new fall lookbook, above are some of my favorite looks. Im dying for those polka dot pants!

The Jumpsuit
I'm getting sick of this heat wave and I am also sick of wearing cut offs and a tank because that's all that I can possibly bare (and lest sick of baring it all as well) in the current state of Manhattan. I challenge trying to muster some sort of chic without showing the world too much skin (I like a little mystery), and I think I may have found my match in this H&M wide legged jumpsuit I picked up a couple weeks ago but was so skeptical until I decided I had nothing else to wear yesterday. Its nipped just at the right place at your waist, and so light and airy I felt like I wasn't wearing anything at all! Plus - its the perfect shade of creamy white that totally matches my minimalistic all one color ensembles these days! $59 was sure worth it, worn with a vintage bag and Iro sandals.

Le Cheap!: Soludos are the new Toms
Watch out folks, Soludos are about to take over the world of casual footwear!! I have been into the whole espadrille look, takes me back to my Spain days and still wearing the French pair my fellow blogger gave me a couple summers ago. Soludos also just teamed up with Opening Ceremony. They are only a whopping $28 (although the price on the OC ones is TBA). Get 'em while they're hot.
PS There used to be a cute "espadrille guy" in SoHo that sold the OG espadrilles for $20 from a street cart. Anybody seen him lately??

Shoe Du Jour
I just discovered the most amazing leather shoe company La Botte Gardiane from Paris. I cant read their site, but I am utterly obsessed with the array of amazing leather sandals (very K Jacques'esq but literally half the price) and boots. Its a sweltering 90 degrees currently at 9:30 am right now in NYC, but I can help but get excited for fall by the Chloe'ish flat boots!

Lake Tahoe Wedding!
Lack of posting delayed by an extended weekend back in Northern California and Lake Tahoe to celebrate a dear friends wedding! The whole wedding weekend could not have been more amazing. The scenery, great company, and some very stylish wedding guests had to be captured.
Photos from top to bottom:
1. Molly & Alexandra in hot pink and coral lipstick = so hot. Nothing screams chic more than a black ensemble coupled with bright colored lips.
2. Renee and myself (I'm wearing a Reiss dress, DVF sandals, and vintage snake bracelet)
3. Alexandra (in Zara dress, Pour La Victorie sandals, vintage necklace) and our perpetually cool Aussie export Renee
4. Renee in her Sass & Bide silk red dress paired with neutral accessories (obsessed)!
5. Detailed shot of Renee's Sass & Bide rose gold chain belt (double obsessed)!
5. Girls (Molly on far left wearing Catherine Malandrino + Dries Van Noted sandals)!
6. Our friends hubby....super stylish man...love his J.Crew shoes sans socks!
7. The beautiful bride in a lace wonder and channeling some 60's elegance!
8. Me feeling the floral arrangement with some champagne

Daytripping: NADA Hudson
Always my fave art show in Miami during Basel, the NADA Hudson show in an old basilica sound like an ideal day trip: "The New Art Dealers Alliance and Basilica Hudson are pleased to announce NADA Hudson, a large scale exhibition featuring over 30 projects presented by NADA members and affiliates. NADA Hudson is not an art fair, but rather a site-specific project for the New Art Dealers Alliance, which will build upon the character of a historic venue in showcasing contemporary sculpture, installation and performance.
