Shoe Du Jour
Say hello to my new little friend called the Eliza lace-up boot. J.Crew sale + extra 30% off sale + J.Crew gift card = After Xmas prezzy to myself. Am I reinventing the wheel here with the latest addition to my boot family? No. But I can promise that I will wear these a many of the following ways once the blizzard in NYC melts away: 1) slouchy rolled up trousers, 2) tights tights tights, 3) skinny jeans tucked in and out, 4) bare legs and socks, 5) cords, etc, etc.
New Year shoes = new year outfits.

Elvish
Ever since I came across these AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZzzing elvish rings by Joanna Szkiela...I've been a bit back on a silver ring kick...scouring Etsy, Ebay, and tribal jewelry sites for an affordable statement silver adornment to make my fingers look pretty. While these elvy things dont seem to be for sale just yet, I settled on this ring that I found in the L.E.S. today while wandering around wondering if Alexandra has found Kate or Sienna in London yet.

Christmas Cheers from the 80's
Nothing screams happy Christmas memories more than 1964's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (the claymation version) and 1982's The Snowman classic short film. I cant think of two memories that are more endearing to my childhood holidays than these films...I looked forward to them on TV every year. A little Christmas cheers past to bring in the new year..and nothing like The Snowman story to always put a little tear of nostalgia in my eyes...I love this one so much. Oh the holidays.

Reason why I heart NYC # infinity
Because even a highly cliche but hysterical illustrated blog called the Unknown Hipster tattles? conffesses? ponders? oh so New Yawk gems such as the mysterious coyote of Central Park, to where's Terry, Warhol days at Indochine, the man Bill C., and so much more...ps. ahahah Garance and Scott. This blog is like a grown up childrens book for New Yorkers...kinda addicting.

Shoe Du Jour
Part bootie, part wedge, part chunk - equal parts of the perfect weekender shoe.
Its Friday, the weekend is upon us. Last minute Christmas shopping is inevitable which means LOTS of walking around the crowded streets of NYC. I imagine these as the perfect pair of shoes to keep me warm and cute but most importantly equip me with lighting speed moves to quickly dart street and store traffic. I mean...hello comfy skinny jeans with chunky sweater and these Robert Clergerie "wedge-pepper" shoes (found at...duh...Creatures of Comfort)!
